Spybot Search & Destroy may be an odd and even dangerous sounding name for a software product but you may consider it your best friend when you find out how much spyware and adware it removes from your computer.
If you use the Internet, and if you are reading this, we can safely assume you do, it is almost a certainty that there is adware and or spyware on your computer. Of course, if you are already aware of the adware and spyware threats and have taken measures to remove and prevent spyware installation, your system may be clean.
You probably have formed at least four questions in your mind while reading to this point. I’ll try to answer them below.
What is adware and spyware? Adware is any program that is installed on your computer and displays ads, usually based on where you go in the Internet.
Spyware is similar but its main purpose is to gather information about you and your surfing habits and “phone home” to help companies target advertising based on your interests.
